If you’re here, chances are you have questions — and that’s precisely where the conversation should start. You don’t need to know the right terminology. You don’t need to be “sure” yet. You don’t even need to know what you’re asking — just that something matters enough to reach out.
Whether you’re considering a first boat, preparing to buy or sell, or simply trying to make sense of a decision in front of you, my role is to help you slow things down, cut through the noise, and understand what truly matters — especially when safety, responsibility, and peace of mind are involved.
I bring both practical seamanship and professional training to that role. I’ve navigated over 10,000 ocean-going miles, hold a U.S. Coast Guard Master Inland License, and am a graduate of Chapman School of Seamanship’s Yacht & Small Craft Surveying program — an intensive course focused on marine systems, structural evaluation, and professional survey methodology. As an active member of the marine surveying profession, I apply this foundation with the same thoroughness, care, and standards expected of accredited surveyors, while continuing to advance my credentials through recognized industry organizations.
Boats are wonderful, but they’re also complex. What lies beneath the surface isn’t always obvious, and small details can carry big consequences. My job is to help you see clearly, understand risk without fear, and move forward with confidence — not pressure.
I believe good guidance starts with listening. When you reach out, you’ll get a thoughtful response, honest feedback, and support grounded in real-world seamanship and care for the people who will be aboard. If you’re unsure, curious, or simply want to talk something through, I welcome the conversation. No obligation. No hard sell. Just clarity, support, and someone on your side.
